For our Hong Kong Branch, we are looking for a Business Development Manager.

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with Customers to build new business for the company.

 

We offer a five-day work week, medical coverage and double pay.

ACTIVITIES

  • Identify business opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure a long-standing business partnership and develop new sales leads in an effort to grow the business 
  • Think critically when planning to assure project success
  • Understand accounts’ business strategy, objectives and risks/constraints; continually focus efforts on providing solutions to achieving objectives and mitigating risks/constraints
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the company
  • Provide pricing, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Utilize market data and develop sales strategies to increase customer portfolio
  • Provide activity reports on a regular basis
  • Nurture productive and professional relationships with customers, agents and vendors
  • Manage claims and contribute to the development of processes and procedures aimed at improving the efficiency and profitability of shipments
  • Daily liaise with our Overseas Branches for shipments coordination

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 4 years' outdoor sales experience in freight forwarding or international transportation 
  • Fully proficient in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Proactivity, ability to take ownership, and willingness to go the extra mile for customers
  • Detail and customer oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent at problem solving
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
