Within our expansive framework, we represent and operate Century Supply Chain Solutions (aka Century Distribution Systems, Inc.), a tech-focused global logistics service provider. We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join the Fratelli Cosulich team to spearhead growth for the Century brand.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be the face of our partnership with Century, consistently projecting a professional image for both yourself and the Group. You will drive business development by expanding market awareness of Century’s global logistics platform, VIZIV®, demonstrating how this industry-leading technology optimizes operations and creates a competitive advantage for our clients.
ACTIVITIES
- Meet/exceed assigned volume and gross profit goals by closing new business with new customers.
- Actively target, seek out, cultivate, and establish new business for Century for the assigned customers and territory.
- Prioritize High Value Target accounts that fit with Century’s suite of solutions and associated projected revenue/volume opportunities.
- Develop and present clear, professional, and effective presentations to external customers moving the sales cycle forward.
- Seek opportunities to sell “End to End” Solutions to customers during your sales calls to potential clients.
- Support key industry events that will help build brand awareness and drive opportunity development
- Continually seek-out market, competitive and customer information from all available resources to best perform your job and share with colleagues.
- Suggest any networking opportunities such as local industry logistics conference and seminars.
- Communicate status of account development efforts to stakeholders and update customer relationship management application as directed.
- Act as a local market ambassador for Century in Italy and beyond, helping establish and expand brand presence.
REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of progressive experience in sales or business development within logistics, freight forwarding, or 3PL.
- Proven record of closing high-value deals and building long-term client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Italian (both written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Salesforce, MS Office, and digital sales tools (Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo).
- Ability to manage travel and costs in line with business development goals and the opportunities at hand and per company guidelines.
